… and we’re off
The St Andrews Student Antarctic expedition 2016 is underway. The 14 students and Lars have safely arrived to Argentina and are exploring Buenos Aires today. They are scheduled to fly to Ushuaia tomorrow where they will meet up with Sonja who’s travelled there from her field work in southern Chile. It will be quite a change for everyone:
St Andrews ( 56.3° North, 2.8° West): a cloudy late winter’s day of 9⁰C
Buenos Aires (34.6° South, 58.4° West): a mild sunny late summer’s day of 22⁰C
Ushuaia (54.8° South, 68.3° West): a tempestuous, windy and wet late summer’s day of 7⁰C
