Dreaming of a White Continent

For most of the explorers from the 12th St Andrews Students in the Antarctic group it won’t have been a white Christmas 2024. But the 14 students and 2 staff have every opportunity to make it a white New Year’s – we should be seeing and smelling Antarctica on New Year’s eve, and our 2025 will begin (without bells or fireworks) in the company of penguins, whales and icebergs!!! It’s hard to imagine what it will all be like, and that this long planned and longed for polar adventure is about to to get very real. Our St Andrews explorers are packing their bags (23kg limit) across home countries to get ready for the journey to Argentina. The group will convene in Buenos Aires on the 29th December. Buen viaje – safe travels everyone.

We aim to post regular updates from our adventure of a life time so stay tuned to this blog.
